The Child Care Facilities Improvement Program
The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) Child Care Facilities Improvement Program provides grants to New Jersey child care providers for facilities improvements that will contribute to high quality early childhood learning settings.
Child Care Centers. Phase 1 of the Child Care Facilities Improvement Program provided grants for total project costs between $50,000 and $200,000 to licensed child care centers to make improvements to their child care facility in order to promote healthy environments for children, families, and staff who work in these programs.
The deadline for NJ EDA applications for child care centers was October 20, 2023.
Registered Family Child Care Homes. Phase 2 of the Child Care Facilities Improvement Program is now open. NJ EDA will provide grants to registered family child care providers of between $10,000 and $20,000 upon approval of an application. Grants are to be used for the purchase of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) that will contribute to Health, Safety and Accessibility and/or High Quality Learning Environments.
